Merz Aesthetics, the world’s largest dedicated medical aesthetics business, announced today the call for cutting-edge original abstracts for the third annual Innovation Forum. Talented professionals in the medical aesthetics field are encouraged to submit abstracts, which can range from pre-clinical or clinical work to innovations in the field of anatomy or novel observations from daily clinical practice.
As in years past, the winners will be announced at the global Merz Aesthetics Expert Summit (MEXS), followed by an opportunity to present their work on the event’s main stage among industry experts. Additionally, winners will receive an educational grant to participate in the 22nd Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) in Monaco in 2024.
“We’re thrilled to launch the third edition of the Innovation Forum with a call to action for the medical aesthetics community to submit their most creative work,” said Terri Phillips, M.D., Chief Medical Affairs Officer, Merz Aesthetics. “This global initiative aims to discover and support the next generation of medical aesthetics experts – I’m always inspired to learn about new research and advancements in science that have the potential to shape the future of our industry.”
Submission candidates can be researchers or practitioners, including junior and senior residents, fellows, or clinicians in medical aesthetic practice. The submissions will be categorized based on the candidate’s years of experience in aesthetic medicine, either more or less than five years working in the field. In the late summer, an expert panel will select five finalists from each category based on the abstract’s level of innovation, practical relevance, scientific rigor, potential and applicability. Selected finalists will then be asked to create a video about their submission that will be available to the aesthetic community to watch and vote for their desired winners per category.
