MERZ AESTHETICS APPOINTS ALEXIS (LEXI) STERN AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Merz Aesthetics, the world’s largest dedicated medical aesthetics business, today announced the appointment of Alexis (Lexi) Stern as the new Chief Marketing Officer. Stern will join the global leadership team and will be responsible for leading the portfolio and brand strategies to help Merz Aesthetics achieve its global vision of being the preferred and premier partner of choice for our customers and consumers.

“Lexi brings an unwavering commitment to brand innovation and a track record of building global brands with her expertise in multichannel marketing, branding and digital strategy,” said Bob Rhatigan, Chief Executive Officer, Merz Aesthetics. “Lexi will be a powerful partner in working with our customers globally to fulfill our shared purpose of fueling people’s confidence through medical aesthetics.”

Most recently, Stern served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at Covergirl, Coty Inc.’s leading global brand, where she oversaw product development, media strategies, digital initiatives and integrated marketing efforts, while championing digital equity strategies. Notably, she led the development and execution of a successful brand campaign, which included signing/re-signing influential and iconic Covergirls such as Niki Taylor, America Ferrera, Kelsea Ballerini and Queen Latifah.

Before her role at Coty, Inc., Stern held various global and regional leadership positions at category-leading organizations, including spearheading the celebrity fragrance division at Revlon, and integrating GLAMGLOW during her tenure at Estée Lauder.

“I’m inspired by Merz Aesthetics’ commitment to helping health care professionals and their patients bring authentic confidence to life,” said Stern. “I look forward to bringing my experience overseeing product development and global marketing efforts to continue our laser focus on building strong customer relationships and supporting their success.”

Stern has taken over the role of Chief Marketing Officer from Can Gumus, who served from 2020 to 2023 before he was named President, Latin America (LATAM) Merz Aesthetics. Stern will report directly to Bob Rhatigan, Chief Executive Officer, Merz Aesthetics.

In addition to Stern’s appointment, Gonzalo Mibelli has been named President, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Merz Aesthetics, leading strategy and operations across the region.
